A steadfast and grounded cup
Hieromartyr
Hieromartyr continues as a faithful offering within the Death to the World project—now carried forward through The Bridge. While the origin has shifted, the intention remains the same: a coffee that is steady, honest, and quietly excellent.
Composed of washed coffees from smallholder farms in the Americas, this blend is built on balance and clarity. Grown at elevation and roasted to a medium level, it presents a cup that is full without excess—chocolate forward, gently fruited, and rounded by a soft, nutty finish.
Geronda Joseph would bless a cup of coffee to keep the all-night vigil and St. Paisios recommended the same.
So, in the spirit of these spiritual giants of these last times, we wanted to offer the same quality for your cup.
The Cup
At its hottest, the cup opens with milk chocolate and a creamy body. As it cools, berry notes emerge, followed by a mild pecan-like sweetness that lingers through the finish. It is composed, approachable, and consistent—suited to daily use without diminishing its character.
The Artwork
The artwork on this bag was designed by Father John from Death to the World. Drawing from Byzantine Christian visual language, it reflects the quiet strength and sacrificial witness implied in the name Hieromartyr.

FAQs
What is your roasting and production schedule?
We roast to order every Wednesday, processing all orders placed before 9:00 AM PST that day. Once roasted, orders are packed and shipped by the end of Thursday.
Retail orders placed after the Wednesday morning cutoff are usually roasted the following week. However, we often roast extra to cushion in your regular orders, so if your coffee is available, it may still ship in the week!
Grinding Schedule: All ground coffee is ground to order just before shipping, so you can be assured your coffee has arrived as fresh as possible.
